Standard Expansion Inserts are easy to install, two-piece, brass, expandable inserts for use in blind holes in thermo- set or thermoplastic materials. When the captivated spreader plate is depressed, the knurled portion of the insert expands, permanently anchoring the insert in the hole. If desired, the insert can be installed to protrude above the surface of the part to act as an assembly-locating device.
