Clevis pins are one of the components of a three-piece clevis fastener system and are used as a quick and secure fastener. This simple combination provides a reliable connection for combining mechanical components and similar applications. Use a clevis pin as part of a clevis fastener to hitch equipment for towing and other uses. clevis-pins.jpgR Pins & Clips
R-clips are commonly used to secure the ends of shafts on axles and clevis pins. The straight leg of the clip is pushed into a hole at end of the shaft. This is done until the middle of the other (belly) bent leg of the R-clip grips one side of the shaft resisting any force removing the R-clip from its hole. To assist insertion, the end of the bent leg is angled away from the straight leg. r-pins.jpgHitch & Lynch Pins
These hitch lynch, also called linchpins, pins help keep non-fixed components from slipping off of an axle while in motion and can be used as a fastner as well. We have self locking hitch pins with clips for easy linkage and are used for making implements secure on three-point hitches. These types of pins require at least one predrilled hole. Like other pins, these devices are meant to resist shear forces, which make them different than bolts and screws. are made from low carbon steel, and plated zinc with a yellow chromate dip for added corrosion protection. Steel Lanyards or Nylon Lanyards may be added to help prevent Lynch Pin loss. hitch-and-lynch-pins.jpgPTO Pin
