Monroe offers a wide variety of cylindrical permanent magnetic assemblies. Our assemblies come in alnico, ceramic, magnets with thru-holes, magnets with bolts and loops, and retaining magnets. Alnico magnets are ideal for high heat applications and Ceramic magnet assemblies are the most economical typically. Alnico refers to a type of iron alloy magnets that are composed of mostly aluminum (Al), nickel (Ni), and cobalt (Co), which is how this type of magnet gets its name. Alnico magnets also include copper, of course iron, and sometimes titanium. These magnets are very resistant to losing their magnetism because they are ferromagnetic which makes them great permanent magnets.
